2nd Week

Our second week of school is complete, and we're starting our third. Last week we began studying "A Life God Rewards" by Bruce Wilkinson. I really pray that the kids will grasp the idea that what we do here on Earth really does matter. I'm reading the teen version with our daughter and the kid version with our son. As a review of what we read this summer about the Dark Ages, we watched a documentary by the History Channel. We're continuing our study in the middle ages, and read "Robin Hood". Since we were studying knights and castles, we found scenes from "The Lord of the Rings" to view trebuchets, catapults, and armor. The kids do math and grammar daily, as well as reading. We listened to Bach and learned some about his life. We add in our vocabulary program this week, and science the next.
