New Year

Dear Hubby starts pre-planning at his school today. I pray he has a wonderful year, and has a big impact on the kids in his classes. Some of them really need it.

God Is So Good!

I am so thankful for how God has blessed my life! He is amazing, and His love is so precious to me.

Our School Area



We do school primarily at our table and in the living room. Here's the new bookcases I just set up for this year. We also have bookcases in our garage with shelves for resource books, future curricula, and literature.

I'm a traditional school-loving momma, who's being reformed by The Well Trained Mind and adding elements of classical education, Charlotte Mason methods, as well as some notebooking. We will be looking for service opportunities in order to have an impact on those around us. We will also be attending a new enrichment co-op this fall.

Both Children:

BIBLE:
will include a study of A Life God Rewards,
biblical character traits, scripture memorization, and prayer

VOCABULARY:
Roots and Fruits
a Greek and Latin root/prefix study course

FINE ARTS:
Art Picture Studies
Composer Studies

HISTORY:
Late Middle Ages through Modern
(except American History)
using Kingfisher and Usborne as spines and
reading lots of good books
(We're doing history in 3 years.)


Daughter:
Glencoe Math, Pre-Algebra
Rainbow Science, Year 1
BJU Grammar & CLE Diagramming and Practice Sheets
Jump In Writing and local writing class
CLE Reading
Mind Benders/Orbiting with Logic/Red Herring Mysteries

Finally Doing It!
